Last fall, Momodu Rogers was the guy for Interboro.
As a sophomore, he improved upon a strong freshman year and emerged as one of the best running backs in Delco, rushing for 900 yards and scoring nine touchdowns. He was basically the engine of the offense.
So why take that kind of running back and put him at quarterback? Second-year head coach Pat Fisher has a simple answer: Give the best player the ball every single snap.
And it’s hard to argue.
“The entire offense is built around his talent,” Fisher said. “He understands football at every single level, offensively and defensively. And now that we’re putting the ball in his hands, him making the reads to see what’s open for the running back or what’s open for himself off of the read option stuff, it really kind of gives us a big advantage.”
