Strath Haven wasn’t exactly celebrating after last week’s tight, low-scoring win over Penncrest in the Media Bowl.

While the Panthers gladly accepted the victory, they knew their offense needed work, having only managed two touchdowns.

Friday night’s showdown, however, was more in line with their expectations. Powered by another stellar game from senior running back Shane Green, the Panthers cleaned up their mistakes from a week ago and rolled to a 28-7 win over Ridley.

“I mean, a lot of us weren’t really that satisfied,” Green said of the 14-10 triumph over Penncrest. “So, we just went back to work and had a good week of practice, a good defensive practice, and it showed on the field.”

Following a 225-yard performance against Penncrest, Green torched Ridley’s defense for 161 yards on 17 carries. On his third rush of the game, Green broke free for a 41-yard touchdown, putting the Panthers ahead early with 8:23 remaining in the first quarter.
