NETHER PROVIDENCE – Patrick Burke had a nose for the football Friday night. Paul Oblek had a nose for blowing up plays before they got going.
Together, the two were in the middle of another smothering night from the Strath Haven defense. While the Panthers’ usually explosive Wing-T had to grind its way through, the defense again showed the way in a 21-0 win over Upper Darby.

That makes back-to-back shutouts for Haven, and through three games the Panthers have surrendered just seven points.
Burke, a junior linebacker, picked off two Safiy Salley passes, part of a three-turnover night for the defense. Oblek, a senior lineman, dominated in the backfield with multiple tackles for loss, QB pressures and even a couple of pass deflections at the line.
