With five weeks remaining, the Green Raiders are in 10th place and the Royals sit 13th. Haverford (4-1), in seventh, is the highest-ranking 6A Delco team.
In Class 5A, Springfield (5-0) leads the standings, followed by Strath Haven (5-0). The Panthers and Cougars play Oct. 25 to close out the regular season. They have met in the district playoffs in each of the last two seasons, with Strath Haven winning both.
Garnet Valley (4-1) is fourth in 5A after losing to Strath Haven last Friday. Marple Newtown (3-2) is in 10th place. Chester (4-1) is ranked 12th, primarily due to playing just one 5A or 6A team (Perkiomen Valley). The Clippers should start to climb the rankings as they begin a stretch of four games against Del Val League opponents.
Winners of three in a row, Academy Park (3-2) is nipping at Chester’s heels in 13th place. The team meet at Chester next week.
