Jake Kitchin cooked up a special night Friday.
The Strath Haven quarterback had a hand in all four touchdowns as the Panthers scored a 28-14 win over Upper Darby.
After a scoreless first quarter, Kitchin opened the scoring with a one-yard score on fourth-and-goal with 7:17 left until halftime. It capped a 69-yard scoring march.
Kitchin added a 16-yard touchdown pass to Marco Kaufman with 12 seconds left in the first half to make it 14-6. He then capped a 70-yard march covering 5:24 of the third quarter with a two-yard pass to Shane Green to make it 21-6, then hit Green for an 11-yard score with 9:49 left.
The Panthers (5-0, 4-0 Central) bounced back in the second quarter when Upper Darby’s Kobe Okyne disrupted another would-be scoring drive by recovering a fumble. He rumbled 60 yards for the touchdown, though the Panthers blocked the extra point to maintain a 7-6 lead.
