The Central League recently announced its all-star teams for the 2022 season. The first and second teams were determined by voiting by league coaches.
Players selected to first team offense include: quarterback Tommy Wright (Haverford); running backs Paul Jackson (Ridley), Anthony Crawford (Strath Haven), Matt Ferry (Penncrest) and Amir Byrd (Radnor); linemen Matt Wiesendanger (Garnet Valley), Xavier Archawski (Lower Merion), Tyler Klambara (Springfield), Dorn Deluca (Penncrest) and Matt O’Brien (Conestoga); wide receivers Ethan Mahan (Haverford), Khameen Powell (Ridley), Sam Zheng (Lower Merion) and Brody Eaton (Conestoga); and kickers Tim Styer (Strath Haven) and Charlie White (Conestoga).
The second team offense is comprised of: quarterback Jake Rama (Springfield); running backs Montez Ellis (Upper Darby), Lavar Jackson (Upper Darby), Brian Box (Marple Newtown) and Bob Fooskas (Strath Haven); linemen Jimmy Marturano (Conestoga), Gus Bryan (Springfield), Burke Julien (Haverford), Kieran Gallagher (Garnet Valley) and Carter Law (Strath Haven); wide receivers Paul Defruscio (Marple Newtown), Aidan Kreydt (Springfield), Jack Westburg (Garnet Valley) and Drew Van Horn (Garnet Valley); and kicker Sean Williams (Springfield).
On the first team defense are: linemen Jake McGowan (Marple Newtown), Drew Mershel (Conestoga), Kamar Perlote (Upper Darby), Kieran Gallagher (Garnet Valley) and Ben Farabaugh (Strath Haven); linebackers Matt Ferry (Penncrest), Drew Van Horn (Garnet Valley), Anthony Crawford (Strath Haven) and Charlie Newhall (Conestoga); defensive backs Sam Milligan (Strath Haven), Ben Fleming (Haverford), Mekhai Smith (Lower Merion) and Mike O’Donnell (Springfield); and punter Declan Mack (Lower Merion).
Players chosen to second team defense include: linemen Anton Skvorstov (Radnor), Mike Miller (Springfield), Ryan Johnston (Springfield) and Brody Eaton (Conestoga); linebackers Andrew Cook (Lower Merion), Jason Bateman (Upper Darby), Justin Marciano (Haverford) and Ethan Marshall (Springfield); defensive backs Amir Byrd (Radnor), Kimir Stephenson (Ridley), Bryce Beltrante (Conestoga) and Sean O’Donnell (Penncrest); and punter Andrew Arbes (Conestoga).
