The 2015 high school football season opened last Friday with summer like temperatures with high humidity to test the conditioning of this year’s young football warriors. The teams that survive the early season heat to make the playoffs will face a different weather challenge in December but it will all be worth it if they are still in the title hunt.
This new group of talented young men have high hopes to attain the thrill that St Joe Prep, Archbishop Wood, South Fayette and Bishop Guilfoyle all experienced in Hershey in 2014. The long journey to Chocolate Town all started last Friday and another exciting season lies before us.
This will mark the tenth season I have attempted to forecast the five toughest games each week. The last nine years the prognostication record stands at 417-178 while going 53-21 last season.
