It is with great sorrow that we announce that “Coach Tag” Paul Tagliaterra has passed away today after a brief illness.
Coach had been a fixture at Strath Haven High School and middle school for over 50 years. He always had a smile and a warm word when he greeted you and was always interested in his former students, athletes and their families.
Every election day he would swing by the poll I worked in and we’d chat for an hour about high school sports and all subjects of interest (and there were many). I loved chatting with him while he was a coach and even enjoyed it more after he gave up coaching but was the AD at the middle school.
He impacted so many lives in a positive way. Our thoughts go out to his family. We will miss him so much. May his memory be a blessing to his family and to all all knew him!
