Strath Haven kept its Central League title hopes alive Friday night, rolling past Lower Merion, 42-7, at George L. King Field before a big matchup with undefeated Springfield next week.
Ryan Mudrick punched in a 1-yard touchdown to get things started for the Panthers (8-1, 7-1), but the Aces answered when quarterback Nick DeLuca found Thomas Burke for a 13-yard score to tie it up.
That was about all the Aces could muster. Yosif Ali powered in for a short touchdown to put Haven back ahead and quarterback Luke Mulhern scrambled into the end zone from seven yards out just before halftime to make it 21-7.
From there, the Panthers dominated. Kasey Hudson sprinted 70 yards to the end zone early in the third, and Derrick Bradley added two more rushing scores.
Strath Haven can force a share of the league title with a win over Springfield, plus a Ridley loss to Garnet Valley.
