Strath Haven 49, Interboro 6 >> James Fisher picked up right where he left off in 2023, the reigning Daily Times Player of the Year accounting for four touchdowns – three in the first quarter – as the Panthers ran all over their usual Week 1 opponent at South Avenue Sports Complex.
Fisher scored on a two-yard run on the Panthers’ first series before returning an interception for a score. After Momodu Rogers answered with a 75-yard scoring run for the Bucs’ only points, Fisher came right back to make it 21-6.
Shane Green capped the first quarter with a 68-yard rushing score for a 28-6 Panthers lead. Ben Milligan added a 32-yard score before Fisher’s fourth of the night made it 42-6 at half.
Vincent Hales set the final margin with a third-quarter rushing score.
