The excitement on the field just couldn’t compete with the excitement in the skies as tonight’s game between the Strath Haven Panthers (1-1) and the Penncrest Lions (1-1) was stopped with under five minutes to go in the 2nd half with Haven leading 28-0.
After the teams and crowd waiting for over an hour the postponement was declared as lightening continued to appear and rain continued to fall.
The game will begin where it left off at Strath Haven High School at George L. King Field.
Admission will be free. We are not sure if the snack bar will be open.
Unfortunately our game broadcast will NOT be available for the balance of the game. We will post the archived game tonight but it will only be the game leading up to the delay.
However our complete game stats and Play-of-the-Game video presentation will be available some time on Sunday.
Webmaster’s note: It turns out WE WILL be able to broadcast the continuation of last night’s SH/Penncrest football game. If you can’t make the game yourself you can tune into the game at www.havenfootball.net. We will begin our broadcast about 10:50. If you attend the game you’ll be able to tune in to our LIVE broadcast on 88.0 FM. All android smart phones have an FM tuner built in! The snack bar WILL be open with limited service!
