It has been many years since we have experienced a scrimmage in a rain storm. The first 20 minutes of todays scrimmage was played in a pretty heavy rain which made the ball slick and difficult to handle. We witnessed some bad snaps but no poor hand-off exchanges and the rain finally stopped and went away for the balance of the scrimmage.
The Panther offense was formidable moving the ball at-will on the ground and with the occasional pass. Both the first string and JV teams dominated on both sides of the ball scoring four or five times (one pick-six) while holding WC East beyond the 50 yard marker.
The Panthers have lots of new players including quarterback and a new offensive and defensive line but they looked ready to play as they look to take on the Interboro Buccaneers next Friday at 7 PM.
